As mentioned in my previous posts, majorities are in a run to dine in with a view. No doubt, Burj Khalifa stands as number one in everyone's list. Therefore, I bring to your attention another spot which is a viable solution; Cabana it is. This poolside terrace bar is located on the pool terrace of 'The Address' Hotel Dubai Mall, thereby, making it a happening spot for both hotel guests and casual dine-in customers. The expansive spot overlooks the buzzing Downtown Area, and has a picture perfect backdrop of Burj Khalifa. I am certain that everyone would agree with me on this that, the elevated view of Downtown makes #MyDubai or rather, Our Dubai look magnificent.
Being a pool side bar, the fit and ambiance is very self-explanatory; bushes and buffet styled counters. The layout of Cabana is well thought of, and thereby, makes it even more spacious. If you're not a pool side person and would like to have a more private spot for own; don’t worry Cabana has got your back. They do offer private majlis tents; which has a total different ambiance of its own with sufficient privacy. |
What do they offer? They offer a wide range of international cuisine. I was invited for their Arabian launch. Therefore, the food and ambiance was more inclined to the Arabian flavors and style. The tents were prepped with cozy Arabian texture cushions and mats. The usual Arabic Entertainment package i.e., live singing and belly dancing, was also there. However, I felt that the volume for this was a bit loud
The counters were an elaborate spread for each course. Starting with the salad section, they offered the core and most popular salads, which are none other than the Salata Arabiyyeh, Tabbouli and Fattoush along with traditional condiments and sides like listed below. The dressings for each were mild and not pungent, thereby, allowing it to retain freshness and remain light to the stomach. There were other salads too; however I can't recall the names now, as they were purely traditional.
Along with the salad section, they offered a wide choice of breads both traditional and western. All of them had a warm aroma and gave me the confidence that they were freshly baked. Hummus both, traditional and beetroot was served as a condiment for the bread. Being a Dubai girl; I purely enjoyed the simple Arabic bread Kubbus along with the traditional hummus. As it is a simple preparation, there was nothing much they could do other than perfecting it. They did that by making sure the consistency and smoothness was up to the mark

When it came to soups, I had my vision straight for tomato soup along with some crisp croutons. I really enjoyed it, as it was warm, thick and creamy. As always the crisp element didn’t fail to surprise me. I ended taking more croutons than the amount of soup.
The buffet counter also had a live grill section that offered a choice of various meats and seafood. These were well marinated with Arabian spices and flavors and grilled upon request to ensure that they served according to each individual's preference. I opted for chicken, which was grilled and served, to my table in no time. The chicken was grilled to perfect tenderness and thereby making it juicy and flavorful.
The all-time favorite; shawarma sandwich was also available upon request. However, these were served in small sized Arabic bread tucked in with garlic paste and pickle in the sandwich.

Another all-time favorite for many is the Arabic sweets and delicacies. A person like me hits the dessert counter in no time to enjoy every bite of sweetness and crunch. The dessert counter was neatly spread with a choice of numerous bite-size of baklava, sweet dates, mafuka, halawa and many more. I surely ran out of count on how many tiny bits of these I had as they were simply #Mouthwatering. There was also another portion of the dessert section that was only dedicated to Jibin Kunafa and Basbousa. This shows the demand and favoritism for these items.
I definitely agree that it cannot be considered as a regular spot due to the price structure. Therefore, it makes the spot more reserved for special occasions
