Are you a seafood lover?? If the answer is a yes to that question, I highly recommended 'The Manhattan Fish Market'. The well-known Malaysian brand that serves in multiple locations has now made its appearance in Dubai. The first outlet of this popular brand is located in the Dubai Festival City. The brand ensures to serve delectable American style seafood. In the F&B industry, Manhattan Fish Market has bagged many laurels which includes the famous "The Influential Brand' & 'Franchisor of the year' award and many more.
The brand is totally inspired by the reputed Fulton Fish Market in Manhattan that is a true abode for diverse and fresh seafood. As the origin of the chain is from Malaysia, the presence is very dominant in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. They already have a quick expansion plan set for Dubai, with the next outlet being located in Al Ghurair Mall. It is scheduled to be open, to the public by the end of this year. I was recently invited for a tasting session to the outlet in Dubai Festival City. My brother being a true seafood lover, decided to tag along with me. The outlet layout is simple and intended to provide a fun and warm casual dining experience. The fit out aspects is entirely inclined to the casual feel with hanging warm toned bulbs, combination of black and yellow chairs along with chocolate brown tables. There is also an area dedicated for an open kitchen. The vibrant colors definitely make the casual feel to embed on you. The staff follows a unique greeting ritual. This is to sing a chorus of welcomes and goodbyes in one voice filled with energy as and when the guest walked in and out of the outlet. The whole team ensured to provide us an extremely comfortable space. A special mention to Shiva, our server of that day. He explained to us in detail on the various preparation techniques used at Manhattan Fish Market before the seafood reaches the customers. He also ensured to complete each technique with utmost caution at the dinner table. The popular techniques are;

To start off the seafood exploration, my brother ordered a portion of the Salmon Chowder that was the “Soup of the Day”. It was thick and creamy, with chunks of salmon and flavors. The rich flavored soup was priced AED 22
I decided to go for the Quad Delight as the first appetizer. The platter consisted of 4 popular picks from the menu that included country fried mushrooms, crispy calamari, and ocean gems. To top it up, the platter was served with some relishing cranberry coleslaw; honey cajun sauce and sweet chili sauce for the dips. This platter was priced AED 49. My personal favorite from the platter was the luscious and juicy mushrooms. It had a crispy-crusted covering and was served with honey Cajun sauce.
Following, for the next appetizer we ordered a Fishy Chicky Bang Bang (AED48). This was one out of the two chicken dishes on the menu with a unique combination. The duo of dory fish with chicken fillet along with some cheesy cheddar cheese filling and breaded crust was truly the best. The preparation of fish and chicken was juicy, and succulent with rich spicy flavors. The dish was served with a portion of sunny side up placed in a spaghetti nest and French fries.

For the main course, we ordered the “Lobster Fest” platter from the sharing platters section. This massive celebration platter was priced AED 275. The platter comprised of the flamed lobster with garlic herb mussels, fried calamari and crispy fish fingers. The lobster was the best in the platter with rich and delicate sweet flavors. Upon request, the server also served prawns. The platter was sufficient for about 3-4 persons.

Alas! To end the meal, we ordered the Sizzling Brownie. This was the key highlight of the tasting exploration. The texture of the brownie was warm, moist and gooey. It was topped with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream and nuts. The server then poured a generous portion of caramel sauce on the ice cream and brownie. SIZZLING!!! This was priced AED 32 and literally it is the Best Ever Sizzling Brownie I’ve tasted till date!!! #DefintelyReturningForThis

For drinks, we tried the Brooklyn Sunset and Melon Breeze priced AED 21 each. Both mojitos were enriched with rich fruity flavors and pleasure in each sip. The Brooklyn sunset was a blissful and exotic drink with luscious mango juice and touch of strawberry. The Melon Breeze, another spring mocktail was prepared with a refreshing pinch of strawberry, watermelon, and lemon.
