The Counter burger in JBR. The hype for the place made me visit it for a meal. The most fancy thing that attracted me was the custom made burgers or the option to build our own burger with sufficient fillet choices, toppings, sauces, bun and sides. An option of extra add-on was charged over the price. I went with a buddy to try the over hyped burgers.
The ambience and the overall outlet layout was just ordinary. The restaurant offered indoor and outdoor seating. We occupied the indoor seating. We placed an order for a customized pretzel bun chicken burger with suitable toppings and sauce. The 1/3 lb. size burger was priced at Aed 39. For the sides we ordered Parmesan fries worth Aed 21. The other order was a signature hamburger called The Official Counter Burger. The 2/3 lb. size burger was priced Aed 55. The staff was friendly but was very confused on each and every question we asked. Their knowledge seemed very poor. The signature burger was extremely dry with no or less fill in. To sum up, I would remark it as an average burger. The worst experience was the chicken custom burger. The Chicken fillet was not at all cooked and even after sending it back to kitchen, it came back uncooked with an awful taste. The Parmesan fries was the usual French fries with parmesan cheese as topping. We were quite fascinated with the option of shakes and smoothies offered. Even impressive, the option to build your own smoothie/shake blending 2-3 ingredients. Building own shake was priced at Aed 29. We ordered for a blend of Brownie, Nutella and Peanut butter. The thick shake was delicious. The ingredients were well blended. Overall, very disappointing experience. |
