A must try for Indo-Chinese cuisine! Sigdi is located in Karama opposite Dubai Laboratory on Al Za'abeel Road. Quite crowded on weekends but worth the try. They serve a full 3-course meal starting from soups and appetizers to desserts and beverages.
Our usual order starts with Hot and sour soup and cream chicken soup followed by crispy chicken and chicken lollipops. Soups are served with crispy toppings. The crispy chicken is a signature appetizer from the Chinese menu with a spicy crunchy coating and served with spicy bell peppers flavor. The lollipops also have a spicy marination. For the main course we order their signature Chicken tikka biryani, Schezwan noodles, Nizami chicken tikka, Murg tikka masala, Murg Lahori, along with an assorted basket of warm crispy breads and rotis. The chicken tikka biryani has a unique aroma of tikka and long grain rice cooked in dhum. The tender chicken pieces are well marinated with the Indian spices and the rice has a flavor of saffron. The biryani is served with a cucumber raita. Each gravy is special in its own way. The chicken pieces are cooked in thick creamy gravy with Indian spices and flavor. The Schezwan noodles is really yummy! Each noodle strand is well blended with Schezwan sauce and veggies. Overall, the food is delicious with decent hospitality and service. Every dish is served sufficient for 2 and sometime more. |
