Shakeism Milkshakes : The impulse for me to visit Shakeism was mainly due to the reason that I was made fun of among my family circle for not knowing this place and claiming to be a true foodie. Well, the humiliation made me straight up to find the location of the outlet. The usual norm is to read and find out about the restaurant I plan to visit. This is mainly by reading the reviews and going through the menu. However, when it came to Shakeism that norm was eliminated probably due to urge of finding what the hype was especially among my family.
The outlet is located in Al Barsha. I have never been able to really figure out barsha roads, therefore, used zomato to find the location. While finding that, I was wonderstruck when I saw it being rated a solid 4.9/5.0. I visited the outlet in the morning to avoid traffic and rush. Finding a parking was also very easy as it was not that crowded in that area. The shop was located amidst many other restaurants, residential buildings and hotels in Al Barsha. |
As I entered the outlet I was dead sure that there would be no room for regret as the prominent aroma of melted Nutella and Lotus biscuit was tantalizing and made my tummy to rumble. To my luck the outlet was empty, with a smiling staff named Don at the counter. The menu was in-fact simple and straight forward. They offered 4 items milkshakes, yogoshake, waffles and the cheesy sandwich. Don was patient to explain the various flavours and choices I had to choose from in milkshake and yogoshake section. One could also customize their drinks as per their choice. Milkshake had low fat milk as the base, whereas the yogoshake had yogurt as the base.
I played safe and ordered a Notorious V.I.P Milkshake along with Biscuit spread waffle and a Bandito (Cheese Sandwich). The notorious V.I.P was priced Aed 24 and was prepared with a blend of low fat milk Choco Brownie, Reese’s and Choco Chip Cookie. The milkshake was definitely yum but normal. There was no wonder fact as such. However, the biscuit spread and the bandito was the game changer. The biscuit spread waffle was priced at Aed 10 (Super Economical). The melted spread was just right and as it was freshly prepared the aroma was enough to fill my tummy. Same was the case for the Bandito priced at Aed 14. The sandwich was prepared from both Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese along with salsa sauce and jalapeños to spice it up. To be frank, the sandwich had a unique taste. The packing for these items was compact and neat. Shakeism is an apt space for a quick bite and to chill. #Shakeist |
