Kulfilicious is a concept Indian Mitaye joint that has earned its fame through authentic Mumbai Kulfi. The main attraction is the flavorful Malai Kulfi and the reason for this is the right mix of ingredients. It creates a smooth flavor in each bite. As Kulfi is known as the Royal Indian Ice Cream, it is quite unlikely that an Indian sweet tooth would comprise on a perfect Kulfi
The brand has about 3-4 outlets across Dubai. I visited the one in Al Nahda that is located on Amman Street, right opposite the car registration place. We happened to visit the outlet after a heavy family lunch. Stuffed with spices and rice in our tummy, we were quite uncertain on how well the plan for dessert would work. However, on entering the outlet, both the major senses namely smell and vision were just triggered with happiness. The creamy and rich in milk aroma was spread across the outlet and was a warm welcome to any mitiye lover. The fit out is neatly done with lot of attention to Indian street elements. The half cut rickshaw and cycles, the bright colored chairs along with cement oxide flooring would definitely take you back to the vendors in India. Even the friendly and happy staffs created a positive vibe in the outlet So, to fulfill our dessert cravings we ordered the signature items from the Kulfilicious specials section; Sultani Falooda and Royal Kulfi Falooda. The Sultani Falooda (Medium: priced AED20) was a blend of fresh fruits with other signature ingredients. Although the menu mentioned fresh fruits, I felt the mango did not match the sweetness level and tasted a bit odd in the falooda. However the Royal Kulfi Falooda is highly recommended. I consider it as my personal favorite. It can be customized to a limit, of choosing your own 3 kulfi flavors from the “Imperical Kitchen”. The personal picked flavors are then combined with rose syrup, jelly, vermicelli and nuts. The medium size is priced at AED 21, which is worth every penny for #SweetTooth. Kulfilicious is an absolute charmer for pocket friendly dessert cravings. Ps. they’re open until 12am to grab your midnight ice creams |
