After a typical coursework deadline day at university, which stands for hunger and tiredness, I was completely drained out. Taking the lazy Jumeriah Road, I was heading back home along with my friend and decided to eat something after a proper sleep. But half way down the drive, my tummy orchestra made the funniest music for hunger.
To bring calmness in the melody they were performing, I decided to get a quick snack from this cafeteria. It is located at the end of Jumeriah Road or in fact next to the Iranian Hospital. I pass through Jumeria Falcon Cafeteria mostly every day; it is always packed with a lot of drive by customers. However I have never tried it. Like any normal cafeteria, the menu and ambiance is something one could expect. Even the cleanliness is average. But it is unfair to judge the place before having the food. Fingers crossed, I ordered a Special Chicken Burger and a Hot dog Sandwich. My friend ordered a Hassan Mattar. The special chicken burger was served with ordinary fries. What they mean by special is the addition of fried egg in the sandwich along with the burger patty. The bun was gold toasted and had the fresh feel. The same was the case for the hot dog. It was prepared in finger bread with lettuce and tomato ketchup. Both had the usual cafeteria food taste. However the Hassan Mattar was the highlight, I had a small bite and it was splendid. It was well flavored shredded chicken prepared with the right juicy mix of cheese and garlic paste. It was also well toasted and had the gentle crispness in the bread. This place is definitely the killer for Shawarama and Hassan Mattar. Would definitely keep it in the #BestShawarma |
