Sinking between all my studies, coursework’s and other chores I demanded to myself for a retreat. Well, I know these retreats last only for a few hours, as the reality would somehow capture me. Therefore, the most meaningful retreat would be to plunge and indulge myself to a mind refreshing and relaxing meal.
During weekends the whole concept of healthy breakfast goes haywire. Brunch kicks into this role. So in order to have a proper retreat and joyful meal, I decided to do a quick look up on the trending diners that serve an all-day breakfast menu. Coffee Club just popped up to my head. It has been a while since I wanted to try them out. Coffee Club in Jumeirah is located in the Wasl Vita complex. The Australian brand joined hands with the Liwa Minor Food and Beverages earlier last year to make its debut in our region. The 26-year-old brand has been serving throughout 9 countries. Well, it's not only coffee that they serve, but also a variety of food options including my requirement of an all-day breakfast, salads, sandwiches, light meals and pasta. Ever since its first outlet in Yas Mall, the reach and presence is known to both the expats and locals. The brand has adopted the strategy of market development, by keeping the core menu the same with a small variation to suit the local markets. The key aspect that keeps them different from the others in the café segment is the use of a kitchen, which is made to order. Unlike the others with reheating the food from centralized kitchens, Coffee Club maintains individual kitchen in each outlet and thereby ensuring freshness in the food they serve. The outlet fit out is simple and cozy with dark grey walls, and parquet flooring. They also offer ample space for both indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the buzzing Al Wasl road. The soothing atmosphere in the outlet surely calls for a return although; I experienced a delay from the waiters to approach us at first. A special mention to Nsang, a staff in the outlet. He was able to change our first impression of ignorance with a friendly rapport. |

To start off, my buddy and I ordered the passion fruit iced tea and an orange juice to sooth our thirsts. The drinks were served in a medium sized mason jar with a handle. The Passion Fruit Iced Tea (Aed 20) was recommended by the staff and I must say, it was a mind-blowing drink with refreshing sweetened flavors which was an apt pick. The Orange Juice (Aed 17) was also a good try with fresh orangy flavors. #Sour&Tangy
For main course, we ordered a Chicken Schnitzel with Italian slaw from the all-day favorites section. This gorgeously plated dish was priced AED 46. It was a dish with crispy chicken breast as the base, topped with fennel, radish, and peas salad. The salad was topped with Parmesan cheese and Italian slaw. The vegetables retained its crunch in each bite with a goodness of cheese and slaw. #MustTry
The other item for main course was the signature Sriracha Spicy Chicken Burger. It was a neat assemble of crispy chicken breast, topped with cheddar cheese, and spicy sriracha sauce in a potato bun. The platter priced AED 42 was served with hand cut french fries and ketchup on the side.
We decided to end our yummylicious brunch with a Brownie Fudge Delight. This was pure sinful divine. Voila! The dessert was wholesome of chocolate goodness. A slab of the fudgy chocolate brownie was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and lastly, drizzled chocolate sauce. To add on, crunchy biscuits too! #PureGoodness
Being a much-demanded retreat and experience, the answer to their tagline 'Where Will I Meet You' is quite obvious for me. I am for sure heading back to try the Chocolate Brownie frappe!
